Saturday

We've spent every weekend since we moved to Kansas City in Springfield, and I'm okay with that. Dedicating this weekend to catching up on editing, spending time with family and friends, and a few photo shoots.

Also, The Office is officially over. I'm sure this means absolutely nothing to a lot of you, but if any of you are die-hard Office watchers like us, you probably shed a few tears as well. Oh, and no one would believe me when I first stated my prediction, but I totally called the ultimate prank three months ago. I win.

Avocado Face Mask // Clean Living

This face mask has summertime written all over it. The avocado gives it such a refreshing smell, and the yogurt and honey will give your skin the pretty summer glow.

Ingredients:
1 ripe avocado
2 tbsp honey
1/3 cup plain yogurt
1 tsp lemon

Makes 3-4 masks

Combine all the ingredients and blend together. Pour into a container with a secure lid. Shelf life is one week.

To use, apply a thick paste to your face for 10-15 minutes and wash off with lukewarm water.

Wednesday

Restoration.

Today I haven't left the house. Not only is it the first time I've spent the whole day at home since we've moved into our new space, but it's the first day I've stayed home all day the entire year. I'm currently rotating between editing 6 photo shoots, enjoying the natural light coming through the window, and the sounds and smells of summer coming from outside. I enjoy having such a busy lifestyle. The "go, go, go" mentality is the way I function best and I wouldn't be happier any other way. But sometimes the most enjoyable thing to do is really to do nothing at all.

Thankful for the slow days in such a hectic season of our lives. They are cherished and taken full advantage of.
